Ethos Child Safety Standards

Ethos Social, Inc. (ethos.social) maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). These standards apply to the Ethos app and all Ethos services, and are published in compliance with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy. They incorporate guidance from the Tech Coalition's best practices for combating online child sexual exploitation and abuse.

Prohibited conduct

We strictly prohibit, with no exceptions:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including photos, video, and computer-generated imagery.
  • Grooming, sextortion, or trafficking of a minor.
  • Solicitation, promotion, or facilitation of any sexual exploitation of a child.
  • Any content or behavior that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers a minor.

Enforcement

Ethos is an identity verification platform built for verified adults and their authorized agents. We act on credible reports of CSAE. Confirmed violations result in immediate removal of the content, permanent termination of the account, and preservation of relevant records. We report confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate with law enforcement as required by law.
